Bathroom Storage: Storage In The Bath Is Never Enough

How can I increase my bathroom storage space?

Bathroom storage space is always too limited. Always! Bathrooms are usually the smallest rooms in our houses, but they are used as bathrooms, dressing rooms and sometimes toilets. The result is easy to predict – a typical bathroom seems to need storage space bigger than a bathroom itself. How can we cope with that? While we can’t simply enlarge our bathrooms, there are a few hints that could make your bathroom less cramped.

Decide what you reall want in your bathroom!

Tip number one: you can increase your bathroom storage space by moving unnecessary or rarely used things to some other location. Such decisions are never easy, but think carefully: do you really need to keep two hairdryers in your bathroom. Storage space could surely be used more profitably and you can keep your spare hairdryer somewhere else.

The same priorities must be assigned to cosmetics. For instance, don’t keep two shampoos of the same kind in bathroom when one of them can be stored somewhere else. Only if you still lack storage space after moving all unnecessary things away from your bathroom, you can think about more drastic changes.

Use drawer dividers:

As for tips about gadgets you can use to increase your bathroom storage space – there are many articles on bathroom renovation, so here only two alternatives will be discussed – drawer dividers and bins. Talking about drawer dividers may seem to be useless – they actually decrease bathroom storage space a little! Yes, that’s true, but many bathroom storage problems are not really linked to the amount of things that should be kept in a bathroom, but to the fact that all things in a bathroom are in disarray. Drawer dividers will help you to keep everything in order – “this goes there”.

Bins – a risky solution:

Another common solution is buying bins to keep some of our bathroom stuff. While bins can be very useful, keep in mind that they increase your bathroom storage space for a cost – the more you keep in them, the bigger the mess is. It is extremely hard to keep any kind of order in bins. Avoid them as long as it is possible.
