A bathroom mirror is necessary for these activities, as well as a properly placed sink and a shelf. It is clear that for practical reasons your bathroom mirror should be placed right above your sink and a small shelf for cosmetics. But such location misses two other important things: “faked space” and decorative use of mirrors.
“Faked space”:
Your bathroom is probably small and cramped – it is typical problem of all bathrooms. A bathroom mirror can help you solve this problem by making your bathroom look bigger. A big bathroom mirror (or two) can make you feel much better while being in your bathroom. Of course if you want to increase space, the size of the mirror is a priority – the bigger, the better. It is only secondary where you place it – as long as it will be visible.
Bathroom decoration:
The last thing you can use a bathroom mirror for is decoration – well-placed mirrors can make your bathroom look not only bigger, but more stylish too. If you care mostly for decorative reasons, the frames and the bathroom mirror placement are the most important.
As you see, you will have to work with different premises depending on what you really want from your bathroom mirror, and the results you will get will depend mostly on them. You will always have only things you really want.
